Inspiration to Start the Work Week

Dear Parishioners and Friends,

This Monday I want to share the following passage from St. Paul's Letter to the Philippians 4:4-8 which is a scripture that has always been a blessing and a support to me. I hope that you will also gain inspiration from it to keep you going this week.

Philippians 4: 4-8

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let all men know your forbearance. The Lord is at hand. Have no anxiety about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will keep your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, do; and the God of peace will be with you.

I also came across the following quote which I think is great advice.

"Before you go to bed, for a few minutes think quietly about the good things you have done during the day and the sins you have committed. Thank God for the good things, and ask forgiveness for the bad things. Ask for a peaceful morning, so that the good things can be multiplied and the sins can be corrected."

Have a blessed week.

Love in Christ,
Fr. Paul
