Inspiration to Start the Work Week
On this last Monday of the year 2025, I hope we can take some time to reflect on the year that was, and offer a prayer for the year to come.
Every season has its ups and downs with its joys, sorrows, struggles and triumphs. Hopefully, there are lessons to be learned from our failures and our successes.
What matters most is that we remain faithful in our love of the Holy Trinity. At Christmas we learn that God is with us. Let us place our hope in him and strive to be obedient to his will discerning his calling for us in our lives.
As we look foward to 2026, I offer a scripture that always brings joy to my heart.
St. Paul"s letter to the Philippians Chapter 4:8-9
8 Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. 9 What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, do; and the God of peace will be with you.
When we focus on the beauty that is the Holy Trinity and practice the teachings passed on to us from Holy Tradition, we have everything we need to live a life of joy and purpose. There is often so much negativity, anger, and ugliness in the world. Let this scripture rest in your heart to guide you, uplift you, and be a protective shield for you.
Through everything that may come our way in 2026, let's remember this scripture and may the God of peace be with us all.
Love in Christ,
Fr. Paul
