Inspiration to Start the Work Week

Sunday's Gospel of the Widow of Nain (Luke 7:11-16) is a mighty message packed into very few words. In a few sentences St. Luke captures our hearts, and we are moved by the amazing miracle that our Lord works in resurrecting the son of this devastated widow.

This passage shows us the great love that our Lord has for each of us and how much he knows all that we go through in our daily struggles.

Allow his grace to shine on you today. As we also heard in Sunday's epistle reading (Paul's Second Letter to the Corinthians 11:31-12:9), "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." His love for you is enough to help you make it through any struggle that you may be enduring.

Finally, when we are struggling to love as God loves us, here are some beautiful words from St. Ambrose of Optina (below).

Have a blessed work week!

Love in Christ,
Fr. Paul
