Inspiration to Start the Work Week
If a day goes by and one does not enjoy and feel God's presence, the day is wasted; everything else is worthless. The day should not pass in grumbling which makes a person dissatisfied and harms the soul. A day should not escape us without spiritual communication with God, because this communication makes one holy, a god by grace. You should pursue the prayer fervently like those who search for a pearl. Without the prayer, the heart does not have Christ.

St. Nektarios who we celebrated yesterday (November 9th) offered the following:
PRAYER is truly a heavenly armour, and it alone can keep safe those who have dedicated themselves to God. Prayer is the common medicine for purifying ourselves from the passions, for hindering sin and curing our faults. Prayer is an inexhaustible treasure, an unruffled harbor, the foundation of serenity, the root and mother of myriad’s of blessings.
